“Foundry is a factory where casting is produced by melting metal, pouring liquid metal into a mould, then allowing it to solidify. The solidified piece of metal or alloy is known as casting. The sand casting process includes placing a pattern in sand to create a mould, incorporate the pattern and sand in a gating system. “FOUNDRY COMPETITION”, is a competition in TORQUE’23, the technical fest of JNTUK. Participants are asked to make a sand cast of given shape. Required tools for the moulding process will be provided. The strongest cast will be given first prize. Participate in the “CASTING COMPETENT” competition and test your workshop skills in foundry.
